ずぶ濡れのち、晴れ。
急なスコールでずぶ濡れになり、気分は最悪。
「なんで今降るかなあ」と空を見上げた、その少し後。
寺院の上に、大きな虹がかかっていました。
しかも、二重の虹。いわゆるダブルレインボーです。
面白いことに、内側と外側の虹では、色の順番が逆になっています。
なぜそうなるのかは……物理の先生に聞いてみてください。
ちなみに、ダブルレインボーを見た人はものすごく幸運になるそうです。
というわけで、金曜の忙しい時にこのコラムを読んでいるあなた。
今週末は、きっといいことがありそうですよ。

A Deep Breath at the Window to the World
Soaked Through, Then Sunshine.
I got soaked to the bone in a sudden downpour, and I was feeling absolutely terrible.
Just a moment after I looked up at the sky and thought, “Why does it have to rain right now?”
A huge rainbow appeared over the temple.
And it wasn’t just any rainbow—it was a double rainbow.
Interestingly, the order of the colors is reversed between the inner and outer rainbows.
As for why that happens… you’ll have to ask your physics teacher.
By the way, they say that anyone who sees a double rainbow is incredibly lucky.
So, to you reading this column on a busy Friday,
it looks like something good is bound to happen this weekend.
