(4 Majors, 13 Courses)
The Graduate School of Humanities consists of 4 majors: Structure of Culture;
Language and Culture; Regional Administration; and Communication Sciences.
The programs are structured such that they are kept consistent with the undergraduate
education, while each discipline is studied in depth. At the same time, multidisciplinary
and comprehensive research and education is promoted in each program, and
thus the school possesses a system adaptable to today's society which is information-orientated,
international, structurally complex, and susceptible to changes in industrial
structures. Also, with a foresight toward internationalization, the school
offers English education by overseas teaching staff, Japanese education for
overseas students, and re-education of professionals who wish to gain further
academic trainings. The school aims to further the research in specialized
areas related to humanities, sociology and communication studies, and also
to nurture multidisciplinary minds and broad visions, in the training of talented
experts who are able to deal promptly with the social changes, and in the
reeducation of incumbent professionals.
