Ibaraki University has been performing education and research toward the newage, from a global perspective. We provide our students with a wide range of learning opportunities, across various disciplines, in order for them to build up professional skills. At the same time, world-leading research achievements in each discipline are transmitted from here, and furthermore, we promote academic activities in many fields, which enable us to make a positive contribution to the society. Ibaraki University, located in the Kanto Plain that faces the Pacific Ocean, is a base of academic culture, and it is my delight to introduce the university's various facts to you on this occasion.
